Mike McMahon currently serves as a coach for the Varsity Boys Hockey Team at St. Joseph’s High School, a responsibility he’s held since 2005. A graduate of Nipissing University, Mike’s been teaching since 2003, and in that time has held a number of athletic and sports-based positions both at school and in the community.
With respect to hockey, Mike is a graduate of the Renfrew Minor Hockey Association and the Junior “B” Timberwolves of the EOJHL. In keeping with his dedication, he was able to return to the RMHA and serve as Senior House League Convenor. And, as well as coaching at various levels throughout that organization, he further contributed to area hockey development as a past Referee-in-Chief for the RMHA.
At school, Mike has been involved in many aspects of the athletic environment here at St. Joe’s, and holds down several coaching positions, for male and female teams, throughout the year. In addition to hockey, he currently heads up the Senior Girls Basketball program and Girls Soccer.
Mike also is the Co-op Learning Teacher at St. Joseph’s High School and is responsible for selecting proficient senior Co-op students for our HCSA.
